Middle School

In middle school, all members of the educational community work in partnership with parents to achieve comprehensive social-emotional formation, taking into account each student's characteristics within their context and carrying out relevant educational and formative interventions. We focus on helping each of our students learn to value and care for themselves, developing the gifts they have received and reaching out to others, cultivating a sense of service and social justice.

At every educational level, we promote the second language as far more than a mere subject. The main advantage of our bilingual system is the academic focus given to language learning in a progressive way:

In middle school, our students expand their vocabulary and learn the correct use of English, beyond the merely functional and at a high level, which they assess and certify through various standardized tests.

At every educational level, we want students to use technology effectively and efficiently as a tool to increase their productivity, develop their creativity, communicate ideas and learn collaboratively, without forgetting the responsibility its use entails.

Through the use of educational technology, robotics and the STEAM methodology (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math), we encourage students to see it:

– As a useful and necessary resource for learning.
– As a means to develop digital competencies.
– To lay the technological foundations for the following educational levels.

We want all students to develop their full potential and to be creators, not merely consumers, of technology.

In middle school, we support our students in building an authentic, mature and healthy personality that allows them to travel, more fully and in keeping with their dignity, the path toward their own self-realization and transcendence.

Good is shown through concrete examples so that students recognize its benefits and are freely motivated to practice them. Firm yet kind discipline is fostered, taking into account the need for identity and belonging.

Through constant contact with art and culture, students develop critical and creative thinking as well as a range of emotional skills. In addition to incorporating art and culture into various subjects, students put their abilities and talents into practice and demonstrate their skills in clubs and different artistic and cultural competitions.

In middle school, students take part in a variety of physical and sports activities that respond to their preferences and needs and support their integral formation, in different contexts, becoming aware of their decisions and actions.

In middle school, students increasingly become the protagonists of their own learning. We respect their pace, maturity and development, and we seek to help them give personal meaning to what they learn, connecting it with their interests, experiences and needs. To achieve this, the teacher acts as a guide and mediator of the process, applying active methodologies, using educational technology tools, and emphasizing interdisciplinary work.
